What's a Glow Run?

​Get ready for the best New Year's Eve of your life! The Glow Run 5K presented by Generations Crossing takes place in Harrisonburg, VA just after sunset on New Year's Eve. At pre-race packet pickup, you'll receive glow sticks, glow necklaces and other glowing paraphernalia so you can be decked out and fully glowing on race day. You'll want to wear your brightest clothes and we'll take care of lighting up the course with black lights, strobe lights and all the music you need to keep you motivated. It's perfect for friends wanting to start the evening off with the best party of the night AND families looking for an early evening activity for all ages.
Important Race Details:
  • Kids Countdown Run starts at 5:00pm ($15, ages 3-10)
  • 5K begins at 5:30pm ($30 adults, $20 kids 17 yrs. and younger)
  • Awards will be given for first place finishers in all age categories (not including the Kids Countdown Run)
  • You will receive your chip timing device and race bib at packet pickup (see important dates and deadlines)
  • Pre-race stretches led by Breathe Harrisonburg starting at 4:45pm
  • Post-race celebration immediately following the 5K at Pale Fire Brewing.
Important Dates and Deadlines:​
  • The t-shirt deadline is Wednesday, December 19th at 12pm
  • The online registration deadline is Friday, December 28th at 12pm ($10 price increase for walkups)
  • All REGISTRANTS MUST PICK UP THEIR PACKETS: December 30th from 3pm-7pm OR
    December 31st from 9am-12pm 
    at The Hub Coworking (128 W. Bruce St., Harrisonburg, VA 22801) - a friend may pick up your packet for you if needed.
  • Walk-up registration ($10 price increase) is available at packet pickup on December 30th from 3pm-7pm or December 31st from 9am-12pm at The Hub Coworking
