Sunday, March 14:
[Virtual] The beginning of Daylight Savings...one of the most optimistic days of the year! There's no better feeling than knowing sunlight will last an extra hour, warmer temps are settling in and spring is less than one week away. We'll put that positivity right into the continuation of the Forward Series. Join for the Spring Forward Fun Run and put a little extra pep in your step after you set your clocks forward.

Saturday, April 12:
[Virtual or In-Person] We're thrilled to introduce the first ever VAM Trail Day 5K! Trail running can be as divisive as whether a hot dog is a sandwich or a taco, but we're here to show you the trails are for everyone and provide awesome variety to your workout routine. No trail running experience necessary, let's enjoy nature!

Saturday, May 22:
[Virtual or In-Person] For the first (and perhaps only) time ever, our annual race to the peak of Massanutten is an individual event (rather than a team event). All abilities are welcome for a 2.1 mile, uphill walking/hiking/running adventure. Two mental challenges will be delivered via mobile device at each mile to make this equal parts grit and wit.

Saturday, June 12:
[Virtual or In-Person] We're psyched to announce a new partnership for the inaugural Harrisonburg FORE! Miler. Cart paths will serve as your red carpet with a backdrop of incredible scenery and lush, green grass. No need for a tee time, we'll clear the course so you can have it all to yourselves and focus on hitting the fairways.

Saturday, July 3:
[Virtual or In-Person] This is the 10TH ANNIVERSARY of the event that started it all for VA Momentum and we can't wait to celebrate with you! The Valley 4th RUN presented by Riner Rentals kicks off America's birthday weekend with a community-focused run/walk for the whole family. We've got some ideas up our sleeve for how we'll match last year's hype and you're going to want to join for the ride.
[In-person location: TBD]

PAST EVENTS: SEPT. 2020 - FEB. 2021

Saturday, September 26:
You know we love to party. You know we love to celebrate a good workout. Let's get the Forward Series started with an on-your-own 5K followed by a virtual social hour with giveaways, award presentations, superlatives, trivia and surprise appearances. This ain't virtual school - it's virtual cool. Results.

Saturday, October 31:

The distance for everyone is three miles. But on the morning of Halloween, you'll log onto our online platform and select whether you want to "trick" or "treat" your three miles depending on how adventurous you're feeling. Choose treat and you can expect something reliably fun. Choose trick and you may be spooked by what we have in store.

Thursday, November 26:
Our Thanksgiving morning tradition continues! Participants will complete four miles on your home course between 6am-2pm. Harrisonburg, VA Mayor Deanna Reed will still pardon a live turkey (via video) and we expect you to set up a pumpkin pie station on your course. Medals for the fastest finishers.

Monday, Dec. 14 - Friday, Dec. 18:
Let's give away some toys! The more miles you run = more good stuff to kids in need. We've partnered with Mercy House to help make the holidays a special time for everyone. You'll have the chance to unlock different gifts to the kids at Mercy House when you log miles throughout the week.

Friday, January 1 - Sunday, January 3:

In partnership with Generations Crossing, we're adding a new twist to a favorite New Year event. We'll set up an online dashboard where you can add your goals, resolutions and hopes for 2021. Based on the status of 2020, we're thinking you'll have a couple even if you're not a "resolution person!"

Sunday, February 14th:
Pick a partner you love, go for a run/walk with them! Tell 'em why you love 'em. For the V-Day haters, it doesn't have to be a romantic interest. We can all use a little love these days. Go out and get some exercise with someone who means the world to you. We may or may not sell carnations like middle school you can send in advance to invite them.
